About Me:I am a Masters of Education student who is interested in learning about education as it applies to First Nations (Canadian) and aboriginal students. On the right is a photo. I took it in northern Quebec in a small Inuit community of 350 people. I spent two years in this community and learned a lot about culture shock and education. I also spent time on Baffin Island, working for Nunavut, as a teacher, and there is where I discovered my desire to get a Masters degree and study this more in depth. I've lived on reserves and taught Canadian aboriginal students around the country. I have also taught overseas in a private school in China. My goal is to learn as much as I can and share my learning with you. I hope you find my writings enlightening. It is an ongoing project. -Golda David |
